1. Al-Haram Mosque, Mecca — over $30 billion

The Al-Haram Mosque in Mecca is the holiest site in Islam. Millions of people make the pilgrimage to her every year. In its inner courtyard is the Holy of Holies, the Kaaba. 7. Australian Parliament Building, Canberra — $4.2 billion

Parliament House in Canberra is located in the city center on Capital Hill. Workers removed half of the hill to construct the building. After completion, the building was again covered with earth. That’s why grass is growing on the roof of Parliament House. The construction cost more than one billion Australian dollars in 1988. Converted into US dollars, the building with its 4,700 rooms would cost 4.2 billion dollars (3.76 billion euros) today.

The Cosmopoliton is America’s most expensive casino resort. It consists of two towers offering 3,000 rooms and the Marquee Nightclub, one of the most successful clubs in the USA.

9. Freedom Tower, New York City — $4 billion

The Freedom Tower, now dubbed “The One World Trade Center,” stands at Ground Zero, next to where the World Trade Center, destroyed by a terrorist attack in 2001, once stood. The building is the same size as the Twin Towers at 541 meters and has 104 floors.

10. Wynn Resort, Las Vegas — $3.3 billion

Las Vegas is just as expensive as Macau. Among other things, there is the Wynn Resort, which has five-star ratings from Michelin, Mobil and many other agencies, among others. It was also the first hotel to have windows that automatically cleaned themselves.
