The horrific diagnosis was not the end, as doctors told Emmy if she was diagnosed earlier that there was a huge possibility she would have made a full recovery. The doctors told Emmy she would also be unable to have children. As heartbroken as she was she refused to simply accept what she was told. Emmy focused on the glimmers of hope.
