Jake was a practicing medical practitioner and used his knowledge to help his beloved wife with her journey. He was able to check-up on her thoroughly, he could tend to her stitched and if need be administer injections. This was both a positive and a negative aspect because it also meant that he understood more complicated concepts and realities.
